Board Member - Secretary

David served 15 years in the Royal Australian Infantry and RAEME Aviation Corps, completing three operational deployments to Timor‑Leste. Following his military career, he worked in defence industry roles before operating his own business.

Like many veterans adjusting to life after service, David faced significant personal and professional challenges that impacted his wellbeing. His involvement in the Timor Awakening program became a pivotal step in his recovery, helping him adopt a growth‑focused approach to rebuilding his mental, emotional and physical health. He continues to describe himself as a work in progress, committed to ongoing development and resilience.

David is passionate about supporting fellow veterans through his lived experience and contributes actively to the social impact projects delivered by Timor Awakening in Timor‑Leste. As Secretary of the VCA Board, he brings integrity, dedication and a strong commitment to helping others find their own pathway forward.
